Hristo Vitchev Quartet “In Search of Wonders” First Orbit Sounds 2 cd set, disc 1

A very interesting jazz guitarist, in the tradition but sounding fresh. The equally interesting pianist Weber Iago is on board, a PLUS.

One For All “Incorrigible” Jazz Legacy Productions cd

A very modern sounding cd. . . fits well with my mood at the moment.

Yes, a great document. . . thanks French CBS/Sony.

I guess I don't see the similarity as strongly as you do.

Well I understand you. Oh, that coat, how much would I like to have such a coat.

A deliciously cool morning–57 degrees!

I spun this again to listen to the bonus material, which sounds great on this issue.

This is a fascinating box set, the marvelous Blossom Dearie in varied settings. I’m listening to disc 5, the first of two discs of previously unreleased Fontana recordings.

Haven't played this version in quite some time. . .not the best but the music is so timelessly incredible.

Sorry - I just don't dig this new cover. UPS brown just doesn't cut it for me. I don't know why, but Blue Note seems to be purposefully re-doing almost every Patrick Roques cover. Joe Harley posts here occasionally... maybe he can tell us why this is? Does Blue Note not hold the copyright on those Patrick Roques Connoisseur covers?

I agree. Jacknife is the worst new cover in the Tone Poet series by far. Also, it’s the first TP I’ve had with issues.  Loud pops in multiple spots.  I need to reach out to BN customer service.  One of my favourite sessions though.

Before re-filing this downstairs in the LP shelves I decided to listen to side B again. This is a corker of an LP and boy does this pressing sound good.
