All three of his Blue Note albums have been great but Passage is my favourite. Quote

I like to play "Dinah" too sometimes just for my own fun and the audience´s fun if I start a set or do a last encore without the other boys..... Anyway, about Monk: Just a few days ago I had a control visit for my bipolar disorder and the psych doc said I might slow down and I told him if I have that "trips" that go for some days with no sleep, it´s where I create music" and when he didn´t understand it, I told him to check everything he can find about Monk, maybe he will understand what I´m talkin bout and why I don´t want to "slow down" ! Solo Monk is part of this set; the other cuts are solo piano from all of his other Columbia albums. On my system it sounds best with the “Phase” inverted on the DAC. 300×297 5.3 KB Followed by Susannah McCorkle “Hearts and Minds” Concord cd I’m really enjoying revisiting McCorkle recordings. This was her last release. Not sure what teaser disc you mean but yes, I have the first and third sets (and a Mosaic one as well). Great music. There was a single sample disk, similar to Miles' Plugged Nickel: Quote
jazzbo Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago Yes, I know, but I wasn't discussing this so was confused. Thanks. Quote
jazzbo Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago Woke up early and couldn’t go back to sleep so I’ve decided to spin a disc after watching a little bit from the DVR on headphones.. I’ve chosen Charles Lloyd Trio “Ocean” on Blue Note cd. A good late night/early morning vibe. Sounding so good on the system as it warms up! Quote
jazzbo Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago I read some remarks about this release elsewhere and hadn’t heard it in a LONG time so decided to spin this Atlantic cd edition: Yes “Tormato” Quote
jazzbo Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Wanted to go way back. Some of my eldest family members had Bunny Berigan discs to spin and I associate his music with relatives gathered for fun and food. Bunny Berigan “1938” Chronogical Classics cd 300×298 11.5 KB I’m including a photo of my great-uncle (always just “Uncle”) Arvin “Suds” Selquist, Berigan fan and perpetual prankster, one fine human.
