Billie Holiday.....I fell in love with her voice when I was a kid and it has remained that way. I think very very much about vocal jazz now and also if I play with the non vocal band let´s say some ballad most of those I choose are things Billie Holiday sang. I´d say: Listening to how she does a song´, listening to the way she pronounces the lyrics and you have tons of help to get into the song, in the very very inside of it. WONDERFUL Quote

I don't know why, but Blue Note seems to be purposefully re-doing almost every Patrick Roques cover. Joe Harley posts here occasionally... maybe he can tell us why this is? Does Blue Note not hold the copyright on those Patrick Roques Connoisseur covers? Quote

Does Blue Note not hold the copyright on those Patrick Roques Connoisseur covers? I agree. Jacknife is the worst new cover in the Tone Poet series by far. Also, it’s the first TP I’ve had with issues. Loud pops in multiple spots. I need to reach out to BN customer service. One of my favourite sessions though. Quote
