Schifrin was the most outfageous of all bossa nova pianists! Highly recommended. Jordi Pujol's liner notes are a perfect outline of Schifrin's career. I'm on the hunt being a HUGE bossa nova listener. Why not start the morning with one of my favorite drummers Quote

Thoughts I like the earlier versions of "Theme From A Symphony" on Science Fiction much more, but the cool freakout on Midnight Sunrise has got to be the coolist I've ever heard Ornette freak out since "Free Jazz". Worth the price of admission alone. 🤘 Quote

HutchFan Posted February 16 Report Posted February 16 My wife is out of town, and I didn't have any other commitments today. So I spent my entire day holed up in my man cave, listening to music. It's been fun, soaking it all in. But I feel myself getting tired, and I've got work tomorrow. So I'm wrapping my day-long listening session with this quiet Kenny Burrell album. Music, music, music. Hooray for music! Quote
