jazzbo Posted February 18 Report Posted February 18 Jose James “On and On” Rainbow Blonde US cd This is an homage to the music of Erykah Badu and James gets the vibe just right with his own imprint. I had a quite expensive Japanese cd of this and then discovered there was an inexpensive US version, which I just got in–it will be part of a birthday present for my best friend in Austin. Sounds really good! Quote

Part of me wishes for more snow, its’ back to bare trees everywhere the eye can spy, which is not my favorite sylvan look. . . . Starting off to break the still morning quiet with a fascinating trio disc, “Healnig–the music of Carla Bley” by Steve Carendas, Ben Allison and Ted Nash–Sonic Camera cd. Seems perfect music for this morning. Quote
