Rabshakeh Posted February 16 Report Posted February 16 Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra – Bum Bum Quote
jazzbo Posted February 16 Report Posted February 16 I woke up a bit ago and couldn’t shut my brain off. The constant dripping of water from the roof (about ten inches of snow and ice melting consistently) just outside the window from my head didn’t help me slip back into slumber. . . so I decided to get up and listen. Never a waste of time or attention to listen to music, for me at least. Started off with Earl "Father’ Hines “Reunion in Brussels” on Red Baron cd. What a force Hines was! An endless stream of swing with passion. Quote
jazzbo Posted February 16 Report Posted February 16 Something quite different from Earl Hines, Valeria Oliveira “Imbalanca” Video Arts Japan cd Quote

jazzbo Posted February 16 Report Posted February 16 (edited) Spinning a wonderful sounding LP that was tucked in my collection passed over for listening too long. A stereo Roulette, they always seem to sound so good. “Tyree Glen at the Embers” Roulette LP Another great recording of Tyree with Hank Jones and Mary Osborne. 297×300 11.8 KB Edited February 16 by jazzbo Quote

HutchFan Posted February 16 Report Posted February 16 Medeski, Martin & Wood - It's a Jungle in Here (Gramavision, 1993) I bought this CD on the day that it came out. Then I played it so much that my wife got sick of hearing it. And, as good as MM&W's records are/were, they were even better in concert. Quote
