Always used to confuse Rock Island with Rock Falls, but we only went through Rock Island when driving from Sterling to Davenport. My Dad had an aunt in Davenport.

Gotta marvel at places you can/could get heroin and the people who made that happen. How the hell do you get a bepbop band booked into Rock Falls (AAAARGH...Rock ISLAND, see?), I don't recall it ever having hip appeal?

Oh now, wait - Amazon's pre-order price is $5 more than Uptown's preorder price? Why?

I pre-ordered from Amazon since Amazon's pre-order price is the same as the sum of the Uptown website price plus the $5 in shipping charge imposed by Uptown. No shipping charge with Prime Membership and the final price usually decreases at Amazon.

I have a friend who ran a jazz club in Davenport, just across the river from Rock Island, in the  '60s. A happening area, it seems. And don't forget the other two of the Quad Cities, Bettendorf and Moline.
