One of the best records on Arhoolie. Do you know whether this was the first time they were released? It seems strange that they'd have been released by Arhoolie for the first time in the 1990s on CD. But I can't find any original release on Discogs. The United Sacred Harp Convention – The Alan Lomax Recordings, 1959 A surprise hit with the kids. Quote

Kevin Bresnahan Posted June 11, 2024 Report Posted June 11, 2024 David Bowie - Heathen (Columbia). I'm listening to the 5.1 surround mix from the SACD. It's too bad that many of the later releases from older rock artists can't get any radio play today. This is a very good album that I bet hasn't been heard by many rock fans. One minor complaint - I wish the mastering wasn't so heavy with the .1 aspect of 5.1 surround. I had to turn my subwoofer way down to make this listenable. It was thumping away like I was watching a movie with a bunch of explosions. Quote
