Do you know whether this was the first time they were released? It seems strange that they'd have been released by Arhoolie for the first time in the 1990s on CD. But I can't find any original release on Discogs.

A surprise hit with the kids.

That's a shame. I am post-CDs these days and would happily own this on vinyl.

The released to my knowledge from the mid90s onwards some "CD only" and/or added (very interesting) previously unissued material to "CD Reissues" ....

Includes remastered 'Idlewild South, 3 studio outtakes, complete remastered 'Live at the Ludlow Garage', and previously unreleased "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" from that show.  Awesome release, for under $20.

David Bowie - Heathen (Columbia). I'm listening to the 5.1 surround mix from the SACD. It's too bad that many of the later releases from older rock artists can't get any radio play today. This is a very good album that I bet hasn't been heard by many rock fans.

One minor complaint - I wish the mastering wasn't so heavy with the .1 aspect of 5.1 surround. I had to turn my subwoofer way down to make this listenable. It was thumping away like I was watching a movie with a bunch of explosions. :)

Tavares "Sky High" (Capitol) 1976 .... Tavares eyed Disco, but didn`t forget aboutf Soul ....

Tavares has some gems. They also gave a lot of musicians work, like Pete Christlieb, Oscar Brashear and others 👍
