Brad Posted September 4, 2019 Report Posted September 4, 2019 Some people on the Hoffman Forum would like to join here but can't find a link to register. I can't find it myself; I signed out too. Does anyone have any answers? Quote
JSngry Posted September 4, 2019 Report Posted September 4, 2019 What happens when they go here? http://www.organissimo.org/forum Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted September 4, 2019 Report Posted September 4, 2019 Might be more visible on the PC-based version of the forum, than the mobile version?? Just a random thought (nowhere near a PC, or I'd check myself). Quote
jazzbo Posted September 4, 2019 Report Posted September 4, 2019 There's a link for existing members to log in at the top right, but I haven't yet found a way to register to join. Quote
JSngry Posted September 4, 2019 Report Posted September 4, 2019 I'd advise them to engage that existing user interface to see what happens if they enter a non-existent user name. either that, or try the log-on with Facebook option. Quote
jazzbo Posted September 4, 2019 Report Posted September 4, 2019 That would help if a member were having a hard time signing in, but doesn't help anyone register to join. Quote
JSngry Posted September 4, 2019 Report Posted September 4, 2019 So there's no "invalid user name, register here" type task flow? That seems like a flaw in the logic, then. Maybe Jim A needs to flip a switch on his end? While we're waiting on that, what makes a better Grampa name - "Flow-Flaw" or "Flaw-Flow"? Quote
JSngry Posted September 4, 2019 Report Posted September 4, 2019 Fold Foot? What? Please write legibly! Quote
Brad Posted September 4, 2019 Author Report Posted September 4, 2019 Getting back on topic, can someone ask Jim. There are people who want to join. Quote
JSngry Posted September 4, 2019 Report Posted September 4, 2019 You can ask him, he'll take a PM from you. And you'll have any additional details, you can be their sponsor! Quote
Lyin' Wolf Posted November 1, 2019 Report Posted November 1, 2019 Just curious - did this ever get resolved? Can new members join? Quote
Brad Posted November 1, 2019 Author Report Posted November 1, 2019 Yes, but Jim does it himself. Do you know someone who wants to join? If so, I can give you the details. Quote
Lyin' Wolf Posted November 2, 2019 Report Posted November 2, 2019 I don't. I just know that someone posted that there are new members from Hoffman looking to join. It just hit me with the recent death of board member JohnS and Jazzmule before that - and knowing that there's a lot of former posters out there - that there should be a transparent way of joining that does not require a secret pathway. How do potential new member know that they must contact Jim? There's a shortfall in contributions this year - could new members be potential sources of additional funds? Quote
Brad Posted November 2, 2019 Author Report Posted November 2, 2019 I posted over at Hoffman the procedure requested by Jim, which is as follows: Jim requests that you email him. He has to manually add new members because of spam. His email is b3groover@gmail.com. When you email him, please indicate what you'd like your username to be. Quote
The Blue Sounds Posted February 2, 2020 Report Posted February 2, 2020 Hi, Just joined and posted in the 'Announcements' section. It doesn't appear to have an option for people to reply to the post. Have I put it in the wrong place? Any ideas? Thanks, Matt Quote
