Late
For those who missed the Mosaic, this one is highly recommended: Not a bootleg, 2 discs, and good remastered sound.

Anyone know if Live at the Pershing Vol. 2 is from the same sessions, or was it recorded later as a follow-up? Chess recorded Jamal at the Pershing on January 16-17, 1958 and both records were culled from these 2 nights. Most of the 2nd record from the 17th. No. A number of Jamal's individual Argo LPs are available from Verve also. I have purchased very few of those EuroMusiPorn box sets over the years, maybe only three that I can think of. One had excellent sound, the other two not so much. So it is a crap shoot.
mikeweil
Verve includes the Chess files, so basically yes.

So I guess these survived the Universal fire, because the Mosaic set predates it?
