The disclaimer below says that the info is from the David Meeker book. They don't necessarily have a copy. Rooster told me that the story is that the tapes were wiped. Further research is needed.

The Shaw Washington frontline might be interesting. 

I never heard this Tyrone Washington, Horace says in his autobiography "Get to the Nitty Gritty" that he had troubles with Washington because his playing was to far out for his hardbop stuff. But that might be interesting, I like it if horn players get a bit "one step beyond"......, 

But Washington seemed to have a short career, but if you have Woody ......what could be wrong ?
