tranemonk Posted June 17, 2023 Report Posted June 17, 2023 Does anybody know anything about this? Is Sound of Yesteryear a legit label that pays royalties to the family or this European public domain stuff? Or just a ripoff? I've seen a lot by that label but know nothing about them. Thanks. https://www.importcds.com/monitor-blues/5019317022891 Quote

T.D. Posted June 17, 2023 Report Posted June 17, 2023 Don't know, but IMO highly probable that it's a Euro-PD label. Also possibly CD-R instead of CD, if that matters. Quote
Gheorghe Posted June 18, 2023 Report Posted June 18, 2023 I´m not a Peterson listener but the combination Roy Eldridge, Sonny Stitt sounds like a good idea. Quote
Ken Dryden Posted June 19, 2023 Report Posted June 19, 2023 I think Sounds of Yesteryear is basically a UK public domain label that now only issues overpriced CDRs. Here's an example they issued of a rare, long out of print limited edition 2 LP set: Quote
