Michel Pilz (1945-2023)

Sad to report that the great German/Luxembourger bass clarinetist Michel Pilz has died. He led a number of fine if obscure dates over the years and also worked with Manfred Schoof, Alexander von Schlippenbach, Keith Tippett, Jean-Noël Cognard, Itaru Oki, and others. Unique sound on the instrument, that is for sure. RIP.
