billyboy Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 (edited) Amazingly, I randomly happened upon this from an Amazon seller. With ebay prices at least 600-800 bucks (when it rarely shows up), I had resigned myself to never getting this set (and kicking myself for not getting it when it was available). It was a boatload of cash for a box set, but a bargain for this one. This is one of the top 3 Mosaic sets I've wanted. Can't wait! Edited October 15, 2007 by billyboy Quote

DukeCity Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 This one just came out. Kind of an impulse purchase after hearing her on Letterman the other night. Only heard a couple of tracks so far, but it's definitely Chaka (which is fine by me). Quote

What do you think of Conflict? Bruce, "Conflict" is a very solid and exciting effort at least for me. Jimmy's playing at times is quite adventurous without completely going across the edge. The cast is quite impressive with Carmell Jones, Harold Land, Andrew Hill, George Tucker and Elvin Jones. Elvin at times just beats the hell out of his drum kit. As of right now, this release is probably my favorite among all the releases listed above. Quote
mikelz777 Posted October 4, 2007 Report Posted October 4, 2007 I've seen this set drop in price lately so I thought I'd better grab one now before they disappear or before they are only available at a higher price. While listening to Billie Holiday, I got turned on again by Teddy Wilson's playing and picked this set up. Quote
