That Byas set (44-46 US recordings) is one of my fav Mosaics & one of the best releases IMHO

Arguably controversial but I think the very best Mingus music is on that set. the 1964 band is maybe the greatest *band* ever, but I think the ‘65 material is Mingus‘ peak as a bandleader & composer. I would never want to be without it and this is a great price.
