Anyone in NY planning to see Jackie McLean in May?

I've tried to Jackie McLean 3 times in the past. Each time he has canceled. Hopefully his health is better. Plus the fact that the weather will be warmer maybe he'll play the shows.

I'm definitely planning on going to one of the gigs. He was great when I saw him last May.

I saw Bobby with McCoy Tyner in December. He was at the top of his game. Hopping all around when the other guys were soloing.

From what someone has told me, Jackie is feeling pretty good. I'm not too sure where he heard this. I would love to see vintage McLean.

I saw Jackie McLean play a couple of years ago, also at the Vanguard. His chops were as good as ever. I don't think he would play if he couldn't give his best effort, even if it isn't the same as 10, 20 years ago.
