Masabumi Kikuchi Six Elements

Masabumi Kikuchi's electronic music albums are being reissued in March, on 6 SACDs and also on vynil.

I'm a big fan of Kikuchi's jazz works and have most of his albums, but am not so sure about shelling out lots of $ for these 6 CDs ... I also own Aurora, his electronic album from the same period, and it doesn't do much for me -

Anybody heard those albums, and can briefly comment or describe them ? They are very elusive and I wasn't able to find any excerpt anywhere on the Net to give them a listen ...

The link you provided has Soundcloud links for at least some of these tracks. You may not be able to listen to them in France perhaps? From what I'm listening to, there's a strong tinge of ambient electronic sounds which give way to some beats here and there. It's a little eclectic, but they're interesting. I'm not hearing anything jazz related. I've listened to Aurora before and I'd say what I'm hearing on these sample tracks is much better than that album.

Thanks for the heads-up! I'm a big Kikuchi fan, but would have been inclined to skip these because of Aurora... But if it's better than Aurora... Will need to listen...
