Anyone venture a guess who plays the trumpet solo on "Equinox" von Vol. 7 (30 Sep 1979)? Can't all be Lester Robertson on trombone there. Vol. 8 (and again Vol. 11) has one Juana Nash listed, who has no other entries on Discogs. The trombone solo starts quite early, emerging out of the ensemble chants around 1:05 and runs to 3:20. Around 3:24 the second solo beings, off-mic and in the middle register, around 3:35 it might be a french horn, too, but not a trombone. Around the 4 minute mark it goes into higher areas, and around 4:15 it's quite clear it's a trumpet, and when i'ts finally really on-mic around 5:15, it's definitely clear we're hearing a trumpet. The solo wraps up around the 6 minute mark.
Great track for sure, not bitching too much, but hey ... some of the volumes have decent liner notes and soloist identifications, others have neither. They could also have been a little bit more generous about which tracks were included on the original double album (and the expanded reissue from a few years back).
Anyway, I've been making my way through these slowly (four Vols. remaining) and I definitely enjoy the ride!

In #4 ("A Call for Truth") around 8:48, there's another trumpet solo, on mic now, and I like the playing!

Also, in "Song for My Father", there's a male voice singing the lyrics ... who might that be? Sounds a bit shaky, so I'm guessing one of the instrumentalists?
