  1. So the manager who was voted manager of the year by his peers last season was an "awful choice", sorry, I don't get that. You can't hold him responsible for the fact that some of the players under his charge have lost the ability to pass the ball 5 to 10 feet. Liverpool's finances have been in the brown stuff since the start of the credit crunch, what 2 or 3 years now, because they were purchased with borrowed money by the current owners. Once the change of ownership happens the debt will be cleared and they can go back to being relatively stable, in financial terms anyway.
  2. Because not everyone is like you and some people really enjoy it.
  3. I'm not sure what you mean by "Ack", but no I don't have back-up copies of the Cecil Taylor discs.
  4. Up for quite a few new additions and some price reductions. Cheers.
  5. Does that set cover any of the material with Wild Bill Davis? MG Nope.
  6. Wow, Blackpool are beating Liverpool 2 nil at half time, I didn't think things could get any worse but I was wrong.
  7. The version Chuck mentions seems to re-re-re-released again... except this time on Sony/Columbia and very cheaply, I picked up a copy for €8, not bad for 2 cds, but it's the third version of it I've bought on cd, not including the one time I bought it on cassette. Tijuana Moods
  8. Wow Liverpool were so bad last night, I mean I could barely watch it, thank god there were some episodes of the Simpsons on that I hadn't seen on another channel, saved my evening.
  9. hatOLOGY 692 Lee Konitz, Don Friedman & Attila Zoller Thingin Remastered and redesigned I picked this one up, I've only listened to it once but I was very impressed, especially the last track. :tup
  10. Yep, and if you had stayed around to the end you would have witnessed Man U totally stealing the game in the last few minutes, they were unbelievably lucky to get all three points. The luck usually goes with the better team. Eh, no it doesn't, did you watch the whole game? Valencia were all over them in the second half.
  11. Yep, and if you had stayed around to the end you would have witnessed Man U totally stealing the game in the last few minutes, they were unbelievably lucky to get all three points. Rubin Kazan v Barca wasn't all that great either.
  12. That stinks. It's time (past time) to do away with this "region 1, region 2" crapola. "One region for the whole world!" that's my rallying cry. Yep, I think that's the reason that I've never seen it over here... ever, I checked around a few places the other day and that was pretty much what I was told. :rmad:
  13. Yep, I watched bits of that game myself, nothing to write home about, although Ronaldo really is a twat.
  14. I've been wanting to see "The Friends of Eddie Coyle" for a long time now, never found a copy over this side of the pond.
  15. The Age of Steam arrived this morning very much ahead of schedule, thanks very much Pete.
  16. complete article: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/africa/9017506.stm That was just classic.
  17. That's actually a very good question, how did they do it?, they must have had access to the original master tapes or a copy of them.
  18. Berbatov was the difference between the two teams, his second goal was amazing, I wasn't very impressed with Liverpool or Man U to be honest, I think 1 nil to United would have been a more accurate reflection of the game, 3 - 2 makes it sound better than it was.
  19. That's a really nice guitar, not one of the nicest I've seen him use but a very nice one all the same.
  20. Nice picture of Lucas's goal from last nights 4-1 victory.
