  1. Signify: Porcupine Tree. I can't believe it was 26 years ago this album came out, where does time go?
  2. Napa has a steep upswing of cases, everything has shut down again, restaurants, bars, churches, etc.
  3. Corner Gas Season 6. This has become my virus series, I've watched it so much, all thanks to not being able to go anywhere. I can't figure out if this is the dullest sitcom ever, or the smartest ever, so smart, is seems dull on purpose...
  4. Surprised, but I probably shouldn't be, by the disdain some of the educators that Dijkstra encountered. Well, I guess it's all about the money after all. I love my old school UCSD and its "we don't do vinyl" mantra, what blindness.
  5. The Babys: Silver Dreams -- The Complete Albums 1975 -1980. Very nice.
  6. California is edging ever closer to shutting down and going back to Phase I.
  7. The number of people defending all of this is amazing. There's a decent chance that it could be a reaction to a nut allergy, but why in the heck take a chance? or why would Disney not administer a Covid-19 test as a precaution? Most places, you can't even get into if you exhibit symptoms like she had. I guess The Mouse needs to be feed. At this point, it's just stupidity like this that keeps the numbers climbing.
  8. Buster Posey opts out of the season Adopted twins and wants to be safe. I would not be surprised to see him retire either before the 2021 season, or make that season the last. Posey is one of those athletes that doesn't seem to be scared of retirement. Matt Cain was like that also.
  9. Big Ten to play conference only games Just the start, when the Big Ten starts cutting games you might as well cancel the whole season. How fewer games is going to solve any virus issues is whistling in the dark. MLB & NBA thinks it can continue in its bubble, it doesn't seem workable to me.
  10. I think what is bothering me is the attitude that the various sports seem to be taking -- they're young and in great shape, they won't die from it. It bugs me, young people, in great condition, have died from the virus. It all strikes me as playing with other peoples lives for money. Won't say more than that because that'll take me to one of the two topics that shall not be mentioned!
  11. All these athletes testing positive, I don't see how anything is going to get played the rest of the year. I wonder what the line is for these leagues to stop is? Ten percent positive? Someone winding up in the ICU? Dying? I get there is a ton of money and jobs involved, but at what cost?
  12. *Sigh* When you're young, you think you're indestructible, and anything "shocking" is funny.
  13. Thankfully, common sense prevailed and the meeting is delayed until better conditions come about.
  14. I think the Astros' front office needs to work on their ethics a little bit more...
  15. The resentment is toward the leadership that is forcing the choice. It's a meeting with people coming from various western states, all with major upswings in the virus.
  16. I get why athletes are opting out of playing. I have to go to a mandatory meeting in three weeks (and I'm not confident that proper protocols will be followed), and I'm seriously thinking of opting out, even if it negatively effects my future. I think I can survive getting Covid-19, but there are people in my life that I know can't. I'm surprised at the resentment I feel having to make the decision.
  17. I like Keller also, I found his book Preaching very good.
  18. I'm very close to this stage, any of these bs changes become permanent e.g., dh in the NL, starting runners on second, I'm gone.
  19. It would be great if some out-of-nowhere team like the Orioles got hot and won the whole thing. It's going to a strange season if it happens.
