jazzbo Posted July 23, 2012 Report Share Posted July 23, 2012 (edited) Coming up this Thursday night (July 26) WD-41 (Dave Laczko, trumpet, and Willie Oteri, guitar) are hosting the evening of music at Kenny Dorham's Back Yard in Austin (11th St, right next to Victory Grill). They will have a set starting at 7:30 and then have other avant garde and jazz artists sitting in with them and performing sets. Should be hot. . . and fun. He was part of a Blue Note all-star band with Stephon Harris, Jason Moran, and others whose names I've forgotten. The whole crew couldn't have been more disinterested, with the exception of Harris.
