Rooster_Ties Posted February 8, 2021 Report Posted February 8, 2021 Gack!! Hate the stuff. My wife loves the spicy variety, her daily juice with breakfast, and she has double on the weekends. I just can’t do it. Quote
JSngry Posted February 8, 2021 Author Report Posted February 8, 2021 Have you mixed it fresh goat blood? I find it adds a little extra kick. Plus it keeps the goats in line, especially the neighbor's. That one thinks just a little too highly of himself, that one does.. Quote

JSngry Posted February 8, 2021 Author Report Posted February 8, 2021 You guys don't have nay goats around? Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted February 8, 2021 Report Posted February 8, 2021 No goats in our neck of the city, I’m afraid. Quote
JSngry Posted February 8, 2021 Author Report Posted February 8, 2021 Hey, I know a guy that can get you all the goat you want. What's your address? Are there no Indian restaurants in the DC area? Goat curry, barbecue goat, V-8 is a juice, but goat is an always delight forever! Or - cabrito. Quote

JSngry Posted February 8, 2021 Author Report Posted February 8, 2021 The Halal business in these parts is pretty robust. All them goats don't pop up from wet toadstools, if you know what I mean. Quote
sonnymax Posted February 8, 2021 Report Posted February 8, 2021 Can't decide which I dislike more, V-8 or Moxie. Quote
JSngry Posted February 8, 2021 Author Report Posted February 8, 2021 What is it that is turning you all off of the delicious intrinsicality of the V-8 juice. Is it the watercress? Quote

Goat curry, barbecue goat, V-8 is a juice, but goat is an always delight forever! I’ve had goat 2-3 (maybe 4?) times since I’ve been here in DC. Separate BBQ and Indian restaurants both spring to mind, maybe Ethiopian too? Did you know that there are more Ethiopian restaurants here in DC than anywhere else in the entire US? — and more actual Ethiopians (and Eritreans*) in the greater DC metro — almost a quarter million!! — than anywhere else on the planet other than Ethiopia (and Eritrea*). *Eritrea and Ethiopia most decidedly are not the same — but are quite closely related, ethnically but not culturally (or is that culturally but not ethnically? — I forget). Anyway, don’t ever mix them up, as they’re not interchangeable (no matter how similar they are). Back to goat — I’ve tried it 5-6 times in my entire life, but only with mixed success. Sometimes ‘good’ — but just as often, not. Quote
JSngry Posted February 8, 2021 Author Report Posted February 8, 2021 You gotta get good goat to get good goat, if you know what i mean. Sourcing is critical! Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted February 8, 2021 Report Posted February 8, 2021 I guess I’m also more of bison guy. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted February 9, 2021 Report Posted February 9, 2021 I buy the small cans of Spicy Hot every week. Quote
Big Beat Steve Posted February 9, 2021 Report Posted February 9, 2021 Ha - I know more than one who'd probably change their entire eating and drinking habits if that "V-8 juice" stuff were marketed over here. (You know - the ones who drool about Small Block Chevies, Flathead Fords, Y-Block Fords and Chrysler Hemis day in, day out when it comes to their rides.) Quote
danasgoodstuff Posted February 9, 2021 Report Posted February 9, 2021 My favorite V-8, ok this one isn't mine but the one in my '62 Studebaker looks a lot like this only not so clean. Quote
JSngry Posted February 10, 2021 Author Report Posted February 10, 2021 So, all things being equal - goat or Studebaker? Quote
danasgoodstuff Posted February 10, 2021 Report Posted February 10, 2021 (edited) You should know by now, Studebaker is the G.O.A.T.! (Along with Hank Mobley, of course.) Edited February 10, 2021 by danasgoodstuff Quote
JSngry Posted February 10, 2021 Author Report Posted February 10, 2021 Did those hubcaps come with it, or were they after-market? Like that paint job too! Quote

Halibrand wheels were an option, rarely ordered so these may have been retrofitted. I think the paint is factory, or close to it. My Lark is close to that color, but it's definitely been repainted and was a different shade of green to start with. Quote
