  7. Haven't you answered your own question of why its never been reissued? From what you have been posting I assumed this was a super terrific Christmas set and impossible to even hear.
  8. There've been quite a few Mosaic sets containing recordings made in 1960 and later. While Mosaic's direction, with some notable exceptions, currently seems pointed toward pre-1960s recordings, what potential (and realistic) post-1960 sets would you like to see Mosaic release?
  9. New Point of Departure has the unabridged version of Brandon Burke's interview with Guy: https://pointofdeparture.org/PoD93/PoD93Kopelowicz.html Brandon used to post here regularly. Due to questions about rights and the estate, photos are not in the article.
  10. Late

    Joe Henderson

I've only heard it through Bandcamp, but I agree. I sooo wish it would've had a new compact disc reissue. At least vinyl is out there.
  11. He could have been Phil Upchurch's successsor, if he hadn't tragically died so young ... an enormous talent.
  12. 👌 Holiday Soul Contains one of the hippest takes on "We Three Kings." The whole album is excellent. And, of course, the other Holiday Soul! Don Patterson • Holiday Soul
  13. Today I broke down and bought the $8.99 download of Joey DeFrancesco's "Home For The Holidays" from Amazon. I wanted the 2-CD set but I've never found an affordable copy and it doesn't make any sense to pay crazy money when I can get it all for $9, even if I don't own a hard copy. FWIW, these downloaded files sound very good to me.
  14. I'm close to going that route, too, and for the Soulful Strings as well. I love their groove so much.
  15. I had seen the music from this LP listed on Youtube last winter and listened in here and there. So as a stopgap solution I now downloaded the 8 tracks from Youtube. So at least the music of this LP is on my PC now.
  16. ... LP on my shelf - R.I.P. ...
  17. I actually gave up and got the download files. They are clearly from the masters and sound great, so I really can't complain too much. I do have a nice playback setup (Raspberry Pi4 with Volumio) for my mp3 files in my main listening room, so I'm OK with it. I'm about to pay for the mp3 downloads of the Joey DeFrancesco holiday set for the same reason.
