  8. Seems eminently reasonable on cdjapan's part and basically what cliff predicted above. If I wanna get mad, I'll look elsewhere. 👎 But say no more due to forum policy. 😶
  9. This past weekend, at the Riverfront Jazz Festival in Fair Park, Dallas. There were slim pickings for a non-smooth jazz fan, and the sound in the cavernous Centennial Hall was less than ideal, but brief targeted attendance proved worthwhile as there were two really good concerts. On Saturday, Doreen Ketchens and her band from New Orleans performed a set of New Orleans traditional jazz. She is masterful and exciting on clarinet and a true outsider musician. On Sunday, The Texas Tenors appeared. This features Shelley Carrol, Jason Davis and Quamon Fowler on tenor saxophones. This was a truly a thrilling set of music. It was the "State of the Texas Tenor" while channeling the greats from the past (Illinois Jacquet, Arnett Cobb, David Newman, etc.) I would run, not walk, to see this band again.
  10. Larry Coryell, Aurora Coryellis
