  2. Solid/Ultra-Vybe CD reissue
  3. Was there a reissue that paired it with Eddie Higgins' Vee Jay Trio date? I thought that was the one I had but I hope in reality I have the one with the alternates. Great group and performance, an instant fave when I first heard it.
  4. I found an OG copy at a flea market in the 70s, and jumped at the CD reissue (with some alternate takes at the end). And yet I forgot about that CD. Jeesh....
  5. NP: Larry Willis with Cecil McBee & Gary Bartz - Steal Away (Audioquest, 1992) I love Larry Willis' music making. This album is one of his best.

  7. Sun Ra: Somewhere Else. Zensor ‎ZS 136 [Germany s.d.]
  8. Yes, this is a terrific album. Glad I have had a copy for decades.
  9. It's very good. I picked it up the minute I saw Ammons' name on it. I got the 1993 Vee Jay CD with bonus tracks.
  10. Their whole discography is well worth investigating - even if you're not a fan of the composer. I wasn't really into Schumann but their album of his quartets is completely wonderful

  12. NORGRAN MG N - 1053 (Japan 1990) - An Evening with Charlie Ventura & Mary Ann McCall (Carnegie Hall Concert) - rec. 1954
  13. This is actually a good album (Euro-jazz fusion, 1974) This is an unusual crossover project but great fun to listen to.
  14. NP: Norma Winstone - Edge of Time (Argo, 1972) Wah Wah Records reissue
  15. Excellent! Appears on my shelf as a Monmouth-Evergreen LP.
  16. The Compleat Bud Freeman (Jazzology)
  17. Disc 3 - Brahms: Symphony No. 1; Tragic Overture
