  2. That's certainly great to hear, but...the last sentence in the article will continue to be an issue for a while, I suspect. "Even with the exemption, US consumers may still face challenges when purchasing from international retailers. More than 30 countries have suspended or restricted parcel shipments to the US in response to the Trump administration’s tariff rules, while some sellers remain unclear — or unaware — of the exemptions for physical media."
  3. Dave Hamblett “Light at Night” Whirlwind cd I forgot how lovely this cd is. Forward thinking but not jagged. Nicely arranged, performed and engineered.

  10. I have the Kitano recordings, but that's it. I enjoy Rich's playing with the Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Band and its successors. Also with the John Fedchock New York Big Band. Just last night I listened to Rich play a very nice solo on Easy Living from this CD.

  15. Miles Davis “Kind of Blue” Columbia reissue LP 180 gram Beautiful sounding LP.
  16. Just released: live in Fukui, Japan 1987, two volumes. It's from the same tour as on "Live in Tokyo", recorded a week prior. The setlist overlaps with Tokyo somewhat, but not entirely. Good sound quality. https://www.discogs.com/release/34996640-Chet-Baker-Live-In-Japan-1987-Fukui-Vol-1- https://www.discogs.com/release/34996697-Chet-Baker-Live-In-Japan-1987-Fukui-Vol-2 Judging by how fast the Sendai 1986 releases disappeared (OOP in a year), this one (two) will probably be gone soon.
  17. Ahmad Jamal “Emerald City Nights: Live At The Penthouse (1966-1968)” Jazz Detective/Elemental 2 cd set, disc 1 These Jamal releases from the Penthouse are all excellent–the playing draws me rigth in. Surprisingly well-recorded also.
  18. Aaron Parks “Little Big III” Blue Note cd Pianist Aaron Parks, guitarist Greg Tuohey, bassist David Ginyard Jr. and drummer Jongkuk Kim. A quartet recording co-led by a guitarist. . . interesting, well-recorded 21st century jazz.
  19. Another cool and quiet morning. Starting off with some Gary Peacock that is new to me, in Marc Copland’s trio. Marc Copland “Modinha” NY Trio Vol 1 w/Gary Peacock, Bill Stewart, Pirouet cd 400×360 38 KB Marc Copland 300×225 3.6 KB

  22. Ah, that would certainly make a difference. I only see three sealed copies for sale currently on Discogs, ranging from $220-$300. Your price of $240 is in line with those offerings. I hope you didn't think my response was being snarky. Honestly just trying to help you make a sale!
