  13. Recently, a good friend of mine gave me his old Adcom GFA-555 power amplifier, and I decided to integrate it into my stereo system. Since the amp is vintage, I had it serviced; happily, it came back with a clean bill of health. The technician only had to make minor bias adjustments. Next, I had to buy a preamplifier (since I was replacing my old Marantz AV receiver). After doing a bit of research, I ordered the Schitt Saga 2. It arrived in the mail earlier this week, and I've got everything set up now. Honestly, I'm amazed at how much difference the new amplification makes. I expected improvements, but there's been a huge leap -- especially in the bass. I'm super-pleased, and the system is sounding great!
  14. Tubby Hayes Quintet, Antibes '62
