  1. Rudy didn't run a mono machine once he moved to Englewood Cliffs - all monos after July 1, 1959 are "fold downs" from the stereo master.
  2. I have all that in the complete set. I was able to unload about 30 cds when it arrived.
  3. Found this in my closet - almost forgotten.
  4. The reason the lp was never issued in stereo is because there were so many edits it was almost impossible to duplicate. The advent of Pro Tools made the job easier.
  5. My old friend Jabbo. Lorraine Gordon introduced us.
  6. An Angel box set of the Ravel orchestral music by Andre Cluytens introduced me to this music in the '60s. This is my 2nd cd version and it sounds great.
  7. Thanks. I was answering the original question. Read the initial post. I don't need this crap. Good bye.
  8. I have around 11,000 lps and cds currently (jazz, classical, blues and rock/r&b. I have not kept any leader dates by anyone on this list. I thought I might have still had a promo of a Kenny Garrett Criss Cross date, but it is gone. Nothing against these folks, just not interested.

  10. He said he's "hanging in". Don't know beyond that.
  11. Strange this should come up now - I was in touch with Bob Porter this week with a question related to Willis.
  12. As a music fan you couldn't avoid it and on top of that I was a record/cd distributor for a lot of this material - Delmark, Criss Cross, Reservoir, etc. I have a few cds by some of those folks.
  13. Whenever I encounter Dunkin' my mouth says "2 Old Fashioned and a large black coffee". That's just the way it works.
  14. Back in Chicago in the '70s Helen was a board member of the Jazz Institute of Chicago along with me and a bunch of other folks. Don DeMicheal was the president and brought me aboard.
  15. There were 2 Haden duet records. The first with Alice Coltrane, Ornette, Jarrett and Paul Motian, the second with Cherry, Shepp, Ornette and Hamp Hawes.
  16. It's a Jackson night. to be followed by this session (I was in the studio for this one)
  17. I'd take the Haden duets and the Ira Sullivan.
  18. John Snyder then purchased a clockwork and put the Revolutionary Ensemble disc on the face, took it to Jerry Moss and said maybe we can sell them as clocks. He was shown the door.
  19. Booker Little, Bukka White, White Stripes
  20. Check out Mars and company from Constellation - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zh0XCJEWwU4&t=261s
