Originally recorded for Warner Bros. but first issued by Albert Marx (on his Discovery label) around 1980.

Sadly, that disc was not complete. Lots of alternates would make a decent cd. Maybe the Japanese have done it right. I think there are a total of 14 masters.

The Collectables version had not been issued at the time.

The lp version of Inner Space was a 2 disc set and the Collectables disc duplicates it as I remember it. The premise of Inner Space was to reissue Tones + 2 unissued titles + 2 tracks issued under Hubert Laws' name. If you really want to be complete, hunt down the 2 Laws Atlantics.

His sound was as big as it sounds and his bearing was confident/majestic.

I would add the "Up Tight"/"Boss Soul" combo disc to Goldberg's favorites list.
