  14. Give 'em all weapons and the problem will be solved in a while.
  15. I did, Chuck. He extends his greetings to you and said you're an integral part of the history in the book. He even asked what board you post on and I mentioned the Big-O, of course. Thanks for remembering. George is a fine fellow.
  16. A very nice man and a treasure on the air.
  17. The only records I know are the 4 tracks recorded for Master Jazz. Master Jazz Piano Vol. 2 & 3- : Keith Dunham (p) New York, July 21, 1971 Blue stripe blues Master Jazz Rec. MJR8108 Rosetta - How long has this been going on? Master Jazz Rec. MJR8117 Carolina shout -
  18. This was a '70s tax dodge label - there were a few. I forget the details but folks with money could invest in record projects and take huge "losses" on their taxes. This loophole was filled after a couple of years and the labels disappeared. Honeydew had a bunch of interesting music, from sometimes questionable sources, usually in lousy sound. I think Art Zimmerman had a piece of it.
  19. Years ago Von Freeman lent me a few tapes from the olden days. In the '40s he was playing tenor and sounded just like Pres. In the late '40s or early '50s he switched to alto and sounded just like Bird. A few years later he went back to tenor and sounded just like Von Freeman. I think the same path was followed by Johnny Griffin.

  22. Thanks for the update and continued best wishes.
  23. Other factors involved with Criss Cross and Savant/HighNote. Things I'm not comfortable discussing. Hope you understand.
