LF: Cecil Taylor "In East Berlin" FMP
Chuck Nessa replied to Kreilly's topic in Offering and Looking For...
East Berlin was an "extra" not included in the box. -
The Google search bar on Firefox has done this for a while and I like it.

Question for Blue Note Pressing Experts
Chuck Nessa replied to dsockel's topic in The Vinyl Frontier
Just to clarify, the P disappeared before the Liberty era. -
OK....how do I order mine directly from you....... I'm not Chuck, but here's ordering info from post #42: Interested parties can order directly from me at Nessa Records, PO Box 394, Whitehall, MI 49461 or via PayPal to info@nessarecords.com . The price is $23 post paid in North America – folks living elsewhere should add $4 to cover the extra postage. Should you be interested in any of my other offerings, including stuff from the Okka Disk catalog, send an email and I will supply lists and prices. Thanks. CN I tried it and it didn't go through.....got a return delivery failure message. It just worked for me. Try again.

I saw you at the Rollins show Mark. We were about 8 rows behind the photographers. Bridgewater drove me nuts. Front line of the Palmieri band was Conrad Herwig, Brian Lynch and Donald Harrison. Tight. Just returned from the Velvet - Amina, Wadada, Thurman and Roscoe sat in for features. Outstanding.

Feeling age creeping up and adopting attitudes of the kids is a common reaction, thus not having to hear "get out of the way". Kinda sad and ultimately a loss of self.

It's not "my" side, Chuck, it's reality. Do you embrace every reality you encounter? Not my way.
-
Don't much care for "your side".

They don't make 1959 Impalas anymore either.

No, we are a work in decline.

I am working on new remastered individual cds of the material in the box. I box edition was "limited", not the music. Good to hear! Why would you imply the music would not be available in the future? I don't understand where your "understanding" came from.
-
A huge difference is "favors" in the past were one to one. Now it is hundreds at a time and the sound quality is enough to give pause to a customer with money in the pocket. Want lists get whittled down and a burn at home is a real factor when faced with choice.

I'm curious Chuck, how quickly does Rapidshare respond to claims of copyright infringement, and what do they require to "prove" that a rights holder has a legitimate complaint? If you search their site, they have a series requirements to assert your claim of ownership. I follow the rules and files are usually removed within 2 or 3 days. Trouble is, you have to find the postings and it would be a full time job to police them all and then you would still miss some.

If he downloaded it, it was probably FLAC files not MP3s. Rapidshare has ultimately deleted 2 such groups of files at my request.

Niko provided a link above. Check out the other offerings.

Sal is THE MAN! He even ordered one for a friend.

Scott's email to me spoke of my "giving some distribution to their early musical art, even if in limited edition form" ignoring 3 lps available from the '60s thru the '80s and the fact the AE box was available for over 13 years. This also ignores the many thousand dollars I spent to make that happen.

Ed Blackwell and Karl Berger behind and next to the singing Braxton. Impressions is from the Woodstock Jazz Festival - Sept 19, 1981. The whole performance (12:41) is on the second cd from the fest.

I just told the guy to stop or I'd sue his ass.

Bernie Brightman (Stash) died awhile ago and from what I've heard the cds and lps are sitting in a barn somewhere in upstate NY. I've been checking barns as I see them and still no luck on finding the recordings Stash was shut down by the Harry Fox agency for never paying royalties. Sorry to hear Bernie died, but while a charming guy, he was a crook.
