    Roscoe Mitchell called me this afternoon from Bonn. I asked it he'd hooked up with Scott Fields and he passed the phone to Scott. This made me pull out one of Scott's recordings and I decided to play this - A fine recording by a group of friends.

    Received a new one today. This one is called Layers and any side can be the top. Hard to tell from the image but this is a 3d painting with each square being a layer.

    Barnaby was owned by Andy Williams. Williams bought the Cadence label (Candid was a sub) to gain control of his own recordings. Williams was then under contract to Columbia and made a distribution deal with them.
