  1. $32.98 is for vinyl, the cd is $12.98.
  2. I have a set of ADS L710 in my office. I purchased them for my father around the early '80s. They are perfect for the room.
  3. Mengelberg / New York Philharmonic Heldenleben from 1928.
  4. FWIW, after the afternoon show some of us went to dinner at a Mexican place down the street - dinner guests were Red, Roy Haynes, Dan Morgenstern and Ira Gitler. Then back to the venue for the evening show. Lovely 50+ year memory. Edit to say I'm sure I've told this before.
  5. August 23, 1970 Charlie Parker Memorial Concert at tne North Park Hotel. Chicago. I was there.
  6. Jeez, don't y'all have this masterpiece
  7. Not in the Village but I always check in at the Jazz Record Center and Downtown Music Gallery.

  9. Listened to this yesterday to hear some relatively early Horace Tapscott.
  10. Lots of friends involved. Thanks for the reminder.
  11. First met her when she was working the counter at the Jazz Record Mart, along with Josh Berman and some others. Those were the days.
  12. FUCK.
  13. Sorry to hear - We were close when I lived in Bloomington 1968-70 but had no contact for the last few decades.
  14. Yes. Long story, but Andrew was with me when his mother passed.
  15. Maybe "more direct" would be a better label.
