  1. It's easy when you have been married for 40 years. The wife knows there is no hope and has the phone numbers of the "dealers". Boy am I lucky.
  2. Gotta' admit I typed something else, backspaced and made a correction.
  3. This one? If yes then......yes. Crap, I thought that was the Gorton's Fisherman.
  4. I don't think "Music to Ease Your Disease" made it to cd. I have an unplayed copy available for $10 plus shipping.
  5. All the best to you and your family.
  6. Just a note to say this was really produced by Manny Albam. Schlitten only produced the (maybe bootleg) version on Xanadu.
  7. Gotta start with Bud Freeman and Ray McKinley playing "The Atomic Era" in 1945. After that, a favorite is Rollins and PJJ doing "Furry with the Syringe on Top". After those you can move to the stellar regions.
  8. Mine are arbitrary choices from the internet.
  9. Depends on your work.
  10. Never eliminated any Brew from my collection but I have a real soft spot for the Savoy stuff. The "Lestorian Mode/Mud Bug" date is a big favorite.
  11. "Jazz" (the lp) and "More Jazz" (the cd) are almost the same thing. The cd restores a number of edits and is missing one track. I have not checked the lp to see if the missing title might be something restored to one of the other tunes. I will report back later.
  12. Anyone interested in listening, I just discovered WGVU will be featuring All Music on their "Artist Showcase" at 5:00 pm today. Short notice but you can listen HERE.
  13. I vote for Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. I just love typing the name.
  14. They make color printers? I've had an HP LaserJet 5L since Feb, '97 and it is a workhorse. I will certainly look first at HP when this puppy dies.
  15. Ann and I will be there about 6. Looking forward to it.
  16. I don't think so! AND I corrected a (perceived) typo in my quote.
  17. Isn't it time for bed Hans?
  18. Vol 4 was a 2 disc set called "Roy Eldridge and the Swing Trumpets". That's all there is, there ain't no more.
  19. Isn't that a Vietnamese fish?
  20. I've never seen one stuck on the paper, just the back of the tray insert. Are y'all sure these aren't the new electronic "bar codes" Wal-Mart is demanding from suppliers. They want to walk past cartons of inventory an scan the results without searching for the printed codes.
  21. Do you think that's difficult?
  22. Check my PO box in the morning, hopefully fill a couple of orders. Then nothing for the rest of the day (which means taxes, if I work at it). Sunday means more of the same UNTIL we go to hear Organissimo over dinner and drinks.
  23. At this point I think I was, but since I invited Simon to this group............ I'm editing to correct this post. I originally invited Simon to join the BNBB. I did this to get him away from RMB where I thought he was wasting his time. I don't regret this and still welcome everything he has to say. He's a valuable member. No real offense taken, or one intended.
  24. My greatest fear has been a thread about one of the "umlaut bands".
  25. We all enjoyed her for a while.
