Temps are going down here in West Michigan.. Always a sad and melancholy transition for me from the comfort and fond memories of the warm season to the miserable and confining conditions of the winter season, the time of year when gigs slow down and too many lesson days get canceled due to bad weather..

Carla, our daughter was there too and said it was a great show. She said she saw Kart and Tesser, went at the break to greet them and you/they were gone. She said Jim stopped by and said "Hi". Oh man, I wasn't even aware that Carla was there.. It was crazy with people coming up wanting to talk.. I never got a chance to even go to the bar for a taste..

Come up this weekend for the fall colours.. They're starting to happen and this year they are spectacular! I sure could use a dose of northern fall weather. I miss all the fall colors, none of that down here in sweaty-land. So that's a YES!! Free's coming to Chicago!! He just said so!!

I have an interesting CD of Jean Luc Ponty playing the music of Frank Zappa on Blue Note. It's a re-issue of an lp entitled "King Kong, Music For Electric Violin And Low Budget Orchestra" .. Frank plays on some tracks as well as George Duke and Ernie Watts. Very interesting music. I believe the record was released in 1969. I had the original vinyl at one time but lent it to somebody and never got it back..

How about a 60's Trixon drum kit, flying V guitar with Silvertone piggy back amp, and a 60's Farfisa organ with a Kustom amp..

Kind of does sound like Buddy on those tapes..

I've got the complete set of the BBC series "Tales Of The Unexpected".. What a great series that was!
