  1. I bought this from Princeton Record Exchange when I most recently saw Roy Haynes, 2 months shy of 70 years after the album's session with Haynes. Incredible.
  2. Sadik Hakim - Lazy Bird
  3. I love Don Francisco's coffee. The Colombia Supremo is a ridiculous bargain on Amazon and my go-to coffee.
  4. Count Basie - Warm Breeze
  5. I was surprised to see that I had so many albums with him on drums. What a career! Thank you for the music, Mr. Persip, and rest in peace.

    RIP Peter King

I only have Speed Trap, on which Peter King absolutely burns. Thank you for the music, Mr. King, and rest in peace.
  7. Happy Birthday, Mr. Solal! I'm listening to the album he did with Andre Hodeir to celebrate.
  8. Tom Harrell - Time's Mirror: I've been revisiting some Harrell recently and was jonesing for this one.
  9. Some hot Tito Puente. I need some more Puente in my life.
  10. Tually I'll have to pick up the two-disc set of the Monk/Coltrane material and the full Riverside box someday (I have a partial set). In the meantime, this mainly mono version sounds great.
  11. I've been listening to Fielder's The Hipster since it arrived last week. I haven't yet heard him on baritone, which I believe is his primary instrument these days. Nice player. I'd like to buy the two-disc set that pairs Howling Monk with Suite Clarity. It's cool hearing the underrated Danny Grissett early in his career, too.
  12. Charles Owens- Joy, with Mulgrew Miller, Ron Carter and Lewis Nash, recorded at Van Gelder's.
  13. Sammy Nestico - Night Flight: I wish that this had been reissued later, as the whole Dark Orchid album could have been squeezed onto one disc instead of just 4 tracks. This was the last reissue, from 1986.
  14. Well, my order fell through as well. I received this message: "We have been hoping that this disc would become available again soon. Unfortunately, the record label has just advised us that it has been deleted from their catalogue, and they have no current plans to remanufacture."
