  1. What a stupid post.
  2. Anybody else remember the SNL uvula PSA from the '70's?
  3. Dude, that's with 2 "u's" and 1 "v", and not the other way around.
  4. And immediate shipment! (I'm doing my best, Chuck, but some of these chuckleheads just won't listen. )
  5. Then you probably already know how to use the drop-down menu arrow to the right of the "Search Web" button to search for "Google Images".
  6. . . . or you're Mike Fitzgerald.
  7. Per the web site, release has been pushed back to "early September."
  8. Kid Ory has now moved from "Running Low" to "Last Chance". On a related topic, I've really been digging the Anita set over the past few days, and would strongly urge anyone who's been considering it--and even those who haven't--to grab it.
  9. Just click on the "Google" button on the left side of the tool bar and then, from the drop-down menu, select "Clear Seach History."
  10. I'd post a response, but you're probably just going to delete this topic.
  11. Doesn't this post belong in the "Is Jazz Overly Intellectualized?" thread?
  12. J.J.'s next for me after I finish making my way through Anita.
  13. No, that's "Moanin' to Myself."
  14. Anita O'Day, Discs 2-4 (right now with Barney Kessel ):
  15. But then again, she's a prodigy. I think Mike's rental idea is the way to go, if you can't find a decent used piano for fairly cheap. My daughter's piano teacher is adamant that her students practice on pianos, and not keyboards (which was not a problem for us since we already had the same piano I used when I took lessons as a kid in the '60's ). Of course, if you end up with a piano that needs a lot of work, you can always send it up to Jim's dad in Michigan.
  16. Even once a year at $75--which is exactly what I paid here in Philly last month--should be adequate for the average beginning student (unless the piano is in such incredibly crappy shape that it just won't stay in tune for even a few months).
  17. Unless it's to offer Organissimo a contract for Mosaic's first PROspective box set.
  18. . . . and undoubtedly would be strongly recommended and preferred over a keyboard by virtually all piano teachers, and not just your daughter's.
  19. "Record" may technically still be correct since a CD is, in fact, a RECORDing.
  20. Doesn't "side" refer only to one song or track, anyway? A holdover from the 78 days when a side of a record typically held only one song? What you SHOULD have called them was "albums" (also a holdover from 78 days when several "sides" would be contained in an "album").
  21. Isn't that a track from a long-lost early Organissimo session? [disregarding the group identified by Windows Media Player]
