  1. And immediate shipment! (I'm doing my best, Chuck, but some of these chuckleheads just won't listen. )
  2. Then you probably already know how to use the drop-down menu arrow to the right of the "Search Web" button to search for "Google Images".
  3. . . . or you're Mike Fitzgerald.
  4. Per the web site, release has been pushed back to "early September."
  5. Kid Ory has now moved from "Running Low" to "Last Chance". On a related topic, I've really been digging the Anita set over the past few days, and would strongly urge anyone who's been considering it--and even those who haven't--to grab it.
  6. Just click on the "Google" button on the left side of the tool bar and then, from the drop-down menu, select "Clear Seach History."
  7. I'd post a response, but you're probably just going to delete this topic.
  8. Doesn't this post belong in the "Is Jazz Overly Intellectualized?" thread?
  9. J.J.'s next for me after I finish making my way through Anita.
  10. No, that's "Moanin' to Myself."
  11. Anita O'Day, Discs 2-4 (right now with Barney Kessel ):
  12. But then again, she's a prodigy. I think Mike's rental idea is the way to go, if you can't find a decent used piano for fairly cheap. My daughter's piano teacher is adamant that her students practice on pianos, and not keyboards (which was not a problem for us since we already had the same piano I used when I took lessons as a kid in the '60's ). Of course, if you end up with a piano that needs a lot of work, you can always send it up to Jim's dad in Michigan.
  13. Even once a year at $75--which is exactly what I paid here in Philly last month--should be adequate for the average beginning student (unless the piano is in such incredibly crappy shape that it just won't stay in tune for even a few months).
  14. Unless it's to offer Organissimo a contract for Mosaic's first PROspective box set.
  15. . . . and undoubtedly would be strongly recommended and preferred over a keyboard by virtually all piano teachers, and not just your daughter's.
  16. "Record" may technically still be correct since a CD is, in fact, a RECORDing.
  17. Doesn't "side" refer only to one song or track, anyway? A holdover from the 78 days when a side of a record typically held only one song? What you SHOULD have called them was "albums" (also a holdover from 78 days when several "sides" would be contained in an "album").
  18. Isn't that a track from a long-lost early Organissimo session? [disregarding the group identified by Windows Media Player]
  19. Hmmmmm . . . . . . I wonder . . . . . . Anita: Phyllis:
  20. Yeah, me too. I just wonder why it wasn't done on the B-3 or, even better yet, Randy's harmonica.
  21. It was very nice of the Nessas to drive all the way down from Whitehall just to do that.
  22. I've spoken to and emailed Cynthia a few times in the past, and she has always been extremely responsive and helpful. And BTW, I'm pretty sure that she IS Customer Service at Fantasy.
  23. . . . especially at the price you paid for the Farlow.
