  1. Actually, I think it's time we start saying you're "almost sixty."
  2. Next up for me: I'm queued up through March 2008. I use the queue as sort of a wish list, and reshuffle occasionally to get what what most appeals to me at the moment up near the top.
  3. Why haven't I seen this for sale on Ebay yet?
  4. TM, I hope you appreciate that the man took time out on his FIFTIETH BIRTHDAY to answer your question.
  5. So it's true, Lon??? You take an innocent trip to Hawaii, and now you're busted by FIVE-O???
  6. Happy Birthday, Lon! 50, huh? DAMN, you're old! (Actually, I'll be there myself next year. )
  7. Don't know about that, but this is going to be the cover photo: It's from the famous session of "Julia Plays Monkfish." And here's another Francis Wolff photo to be included in the booklet, of Julia at a session in Rudy Van Gelder's kitchen: It promises to be quite a tasty set.
  8. I've heard they're currently in negotiations with PBS for a Complete Julia Child box set, and that they've pretty much nailed down an agreement with the Food Network to do an Emeril Lagasse Select. BAM!
  9. 'cept now we'll have to spread rumors about something else.
  10. Now, if they'd just change the name of the group to GUITARISSIMO. (Damn, they're goes any hope of decent inscriptions on my CD from Jim and Randy.) ← Too much pressure. I'd rather be the "secret weapon". ← Stealth Guitar:
  11. Only in your fantasies, Dan--well, at least with respect to Christina.
  12. Now, if they'd just change the name of the group to GUITARISSIMO. (Damn, they're goes any hope of decent inscriptions on my CD from Jim and Randy.)
  13. At the moment, this CD is ranked NUMBER FOUR (that's right--not 400 or 4,000, but number 4) in sales on Amazon. This has to be some sort of record for a jazz recording of any kind, let alone a 60-year old one. I guess it helps to be mentioned in the NY Times.
  14. And the even more relaxed no-shirt look:
  15. Of course, there was the more relaxed 1950's open-shirt look:
  16. I dunno--I think it would look a lot better with a guitar (and a real shirt and tie).
  17. I wonder if Anita is aware of this sudden flurry of activity for her?
  18. Comparing the size to the dollar bills, that would be quite a matchbook! Matches to light big Cheech and Chong size... uh,... cigarettes. I believe that is a napkin. Cool nonetheless. And it would be a cool matchbook also. ← Thanks a lot .:.impossible, now I like your matchbook idea better than my napkin idea. ← No shit; Smokin' Section and all that... :bwallace2: That's it, ship everything back. ← But hold on to a few so we can sell 'em on Ebay for ridiculous prices as part of the rare "Napkin Edition".
  19. Sure enough. And we panned the drums hard right. ← As long as the guitar is in the center.
  20. Chuck, since when did you start using Roman numerals? Why not just say "30" if that's what you mean?
  21. I'd buy it, but only if it were offered as a limited edition. Regarding Edward's comments, I think the bottom line is that the lease terms for any particular set may vary and will be whatever the parties negotiated for that set, so it's a good idea to verify any assumptions about those terms before you decide to defer a purchase of a "Last Chance" or "Running Low" set. What can I say--once a lawyer, always a lawyer.
  22. Then don't. (BTW, Dude, you were so right--for once --about that O'Day set. I'm only on Disc 1 so far, and I'm in love. Think she'd be interested in someone almost 40 years younger?)
