  1. Allen, anything that is the product of your imagination is worth any price.
  2. I'll give you $900 for them. Or trade you a Mosaic Nat King Cole set--only missing the box, the book . . . . . . and oh yeah, the CDs.
  3. But none of those people know Joyce like WE know her, or have any idea about her fascination with midget organs.
  4. Better talk to Ronnie of Philly or (a la Hank) Ronnie of Chester Hank? Chester?
  5. Like weize, Actung Dr. Freud or the Red Menace? Yeah, and like "Brad" when your real name is BRADFORD. Whatever you say Ronald At least it isn't RONFORD. It might be Ronson for all we know. Fess up. You're thinking of LONSON.

  8. I think I'm in love with Joyce.
  9. De nada. Actually, I did the research a couple of weeks ago when I received my own European Farlow Mosaic and had the same question.
  10. See (1) this post and (2) this post and (3) this post on this very subject.
  11. I'm sure the depth of that comment is as a result of your new avatar Seriously, I think why UMG caved in is from an email I sent them yesterday asking why Weizen was getting his and why I was not and if I was not getting it, where's my damn refund and that I had reported them to ebay. My guess is that they finally decided $99 was better than nothing. That, and they suddenly realized you're from Joizy:
  12. Clearly, the only reason that UMG ultimately gave you an affirmative response while Ebay gave you a tepid one, is that UMG knows you as "Bradford" and Ebay knows you as "Brad".
  13. I think I just had a couple of heart attacks and a stroke laughing at those pages.
  14. He didn't make that claim on Saturday. (Maybe he's said it elsewhere.) He did recommend his fellow Philly guys to Art, but I assume that Art's the one that hired them. In fact, it sounded like he recommended Morgan, Timmons, and Merritt in response to Blakey's soliciting his input. Also, in his liner notes to the RVG edition of "Moanin'", Bob Blumenthal states the following: FWIW.
  15. This being a (purportedly) music-based Bulletin Board, we should pay homage here to the popular song inspired by the first famous Google (and note how each 4-line chorus implies a somewhat kinky lifestyle):
  16. Are you sure about that? Check here. (The Amazon/Caiman link I posted previously is for their U.S. Amazon page. The above link is for their U.K. Amazon page. ) the amazon US price is much better, 50 dollars vs. 50 pounds! Check the other private sellers on amazon.com, for a few dollars more, they may be shipping overseas. The 60 dollar price of amazon.com itself isn't bad either. Thanks guys - yes I noticed you can link to caiman on amazon.co.uk but as couw says the price is not right! I may go the other route... I'm waiting for the Jazztet to leak out this way (damn I'm tight fisted...). David, I'm tight fisted too - let me know where you go for these. John willco Knowing me I'll get nowhere fast! Also, CD Universe (which ships internationally) has it here for $62.09, and is saying that it usually ships in 1-2 days.
  17. Ironically, Alan, you FORGOT "I Remember Clifford." Actually, it was my wife who counted 14 songs. I'll try to rack my brain a bit and see if I can remember 3 more, or just conclude that it only SEEMED like 14 songs to my wife (she's not as much of a jazz fan as I am).

  19. Sounds a little like your day job.
  20. Wait--is this a thread about arranging for THE MONKEES???
  21. As I was saying:
  22. Yeah, but I heard they took back his copy too. And, you know Brad, he was a lawyer, too.
  23. This is getting to be a bit Kafkaesque.
  24. I just sent you an imaginary PayPal payment.
