  1. Yeah, Brad, but maybe that's just YOUR copy.
  2. They usually ship within 2-3 business days if they have an item in stock. Several people on this Board--including me--ordered that set from them within the past week, and have either already received it or have been notified it shipped. If you don't see that it shipped by Monday, you can send them an email from the same page of their site that shows the status, and ask when it will ship. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries to get a response out of them. If you can wait, I'd give it a bit longer before cancelling, because it seems that they do have these sets (or access to them) and are shipping them, and you can't beat the price. FWIW. Edit: I just checked and they're showing that they have 8 or 9 in stock, so I bet yours will ship soon.
  3. Nice transition!
  4. Why pay tomorrow when you can pay TUESDAY, as in, "I'd gladly pay you TUESDAY for a hamburger TODAY." (I guess Alan was listening to too much jazz as a kid when he should've been watching old Popeye cartoons.)
  5. This one's for Aric: click this at your own risk.
  6. "Winchester Cathedral" was one step above another "novelty" hit of the same year, Napoleon XIV's "They're Coming To Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa," which I remember getting about as much air-time as WC. Maybe "Napoleon XIV" was just Aric's assumed name, used when he wrote the song after hearing WC one too many times. Come to think of it, "They're Coming . . ." may just be the first Rap song. For those who want to stroll down memory lane, here's a sample.
  7. Hmmmm . . . I ordered mine along with the backordered Mobley box. I hope they're not waiting to ship 'em together.
  8. Of course, all this presumes that it will even make it out of the US.
  9. Who started the seminal thread on this topic?
  10. Thanks for clarifying that, Tony.
  11. Hey, they're sending you TWO! One of those is MINE!
  12. That's some catch, that Catch-22.
  13. Agreed. And I think we should do it at Allen's place, so we can listen to all the rare OP Mosaics he has stashed under his bed.
  14. Well, I'm here on scholarship.
  15. Allen, I can never get enough of your seminars:
  16. I find these threads to be a real kick-- --oops, sorry! [crossing our legs]
  17. Sounds like a fair exchange.
  18. Allen, I have an old Paul Samuelson Economics text book I'd be willing to sell for the right price. There's lots of "supply and demand" stuff in there (including a few alternate takes). It's worn and heavily highlighted, so naturally I'd have to charge a premium for all that patina. I'm thinking I'll start the bidding at $900.
  19. I know you (sort of), and I agree--you're incredibly generous. So how about selling me that Larry Young set for only $30?
  20. These have now gone up to $40 or $42.11 on VH1, depending on the Select. You still get free shipping, but it's not as good a deal as when they were $36 or $38 and change. Either that was some sort of introductory offer, or someone at VH1 (or Mosaic) wised up to the lower price.
  21. DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR ALLEN HAS DONE???
  22. Obviously, this calls for the creation of a new government agency: FMRC (Federal Mosaic Regulatory Commission)--maybe in the Department of Homeland Security? If we're lucky, the Commission will quickly expand it's regulatory jurisdiction to include other non-Mosaic OP box sets and, if we're REAL lucky, even box sets still in print!
