  2. Oh, OK. Well, after putting them together in bits and pieces, I like listening to the full thing to hear how it flows. In this case, I'm just re-living Wednesday's show because the Festival just started about 40 minutes ago. At the beginning of this year, I started posting them - with audio - over on Substack (below) starting with show #444.
  3. I'm not sure I understand the question. Sometimes, I'll do special shows for the community. This weekend is the Silver City Blues Fest, so this show is in celebration of that.

  6. Yeah, she refers to herself as retired, but it's from her later teaching job at Plano East Senior High. The library gig is just a thing to do. She's in her mid-80s.
  7. My high school English teacher is a librarian in Plano.
  8. Sorry for the late notice, but, as of now, it's still good. ... here's a 'secret' 50% discount code for today, on all digital (including the complete discography). The code: sunnyfifty ... https://ayler-records.bandcamp.com
  9. That's OK. We all have these different setups. It happened to me, so I thought maybe it may happen elsewhere.
  10. On average, artists get about 82% of the purchase price. This is after Bandcamp's cut and payment processing fees. Artists get 100% on "Bandcamp Fridays" which, for the rest of the year, will occur on Aug. 1, Sept. 5, and Dec. 5, so you can work up a collection to buy on those days if you wish.
  11. I understand that it went very well even tho there were a lot of musicians to move around. They didn't play at very many places because of various logistics, but this Tokyo gig was a big thing. I tend to like it more than the African gig they had a couple years earlier in "Zaire" because they (and the concert organizers and audience) were more pre-occupied by the spectacle of the "Rumble in the Jungle" shenanigans.
  12. Something like a dozen years ago, I bought and watched this film on Butch Morris called "Black February" and between his self-important attitude coupled with his boorish interactions with his musicians (some other things too), I was so turned off by him, that I just completely stopped listening to him.
