I'm not sure that it's the same "Slow TV" (Seasons?) that I'm talking about - and, yes, I'm not paying 85 bucks a month(!) to find out. The original Norwegian Slow TV is what I used to watch - especially while walking on a treadmill during the extra hot months when it would reach triple digits out - or just having it on the wall during the day with the sounds filtering thru the house speakers. Much of it is on YouTube and so that's an option, I guess ... but, again, shows disappearing while you're in the middle of watching them on some channel, then you have to pay for them later as they migrate to somewhere else. We had some visitors from Köln a while back and had a live stream showing from a Namib desert waterhole on the screen. They screamed "Hey! We've been there!" and talked about their adventures on that trip. It was a pretty remarkable coincidence.

I used to regularly watch Slow TV on Pluto until they pulled it a few years ago. Apparently, Paramount wasn't making enough so they let it go. Haven't been back since. This is a regular thing with me and TV as you've probably guessed by now.

Don't know which is stranger: Beethoven being played on Pluto or that you actually were able to witness it!

The continuing story of TV enshitification... Was going to watch episode 8 of the latest season of Call the Midwife (there are three episodes left) and found out that, nope, they've sold this season to Nutzflicks. After searching around in disbelief, I couldn't find it anywhere, so, being pissed off after a exhausting day of fighting technology, I shut the damn thing off reminding myself of how crappy the whole damn capitalist system has become.

Early '74. Yes, Irmin would've been in Köln, but, in the end, they had no problem finding "roadies" I would think.

Interesting chart that I'll keep in mind. Cars 1 thru 4 are ones I've rented on trips, and they seemed to be just fine. Concerning "interesting" news. I noticed that two well-known people named "Burrell" died today: The classical and jazz bassist, Charles Burrell and a woman who used to be a "regular" on the food channel (I don't watch it - just going by news), Anne Burrell. I'm hoping that Dave is doing fine!
