  1. I realize you aren't responding to me, no problems with iTunes or Squeeze, but his playing often times requires a bit more detail than 56k has to offer. Still, this is a beautiful show. Minimal interruption. Plenty of solo trumpet. A great voice.
  2. Just tuned in via squeezebox. Thanks. A shame about the bitrate, but I'll take what I can get.
  3. right! They were well hyped before and during the match. It seemed to me that N Korea had the right game plan to contain Brasil. They seemed challenged! Not at all what I expected to see based on commentary.
  4. 2,724 profile views?!

  5. Definitely. I was happy to read that comment.
  6. I remember being on a flight back to VA from FL with him. I was in fifth grade. I had seen big hats before, but nothing like the hat Jimmy Dean was wearing. If the hat wasn't enough to draw the attention of every passenger on the airplane, the odor he left in the lavatory certainly was. Whoa. Still remember it every time I get on an airplane.
  7. This N Korea Brasil match has been very entertaining. Two beautiful and different goals from Brasil and an impressive defensive effort from N Korea, including a late goal! I'm no expert, but that was a nice game.
  8. By all accounts, a musician's festival. Sounds like the music was very inspired and audiences were loaded with "names". Like a table of well known chefs dropping in to your restaurant.
  9. This is good info. I just recently realized how horrible my Allmans CDs sound.
  10. Oh man. So sorry to hear this. Friends of Fred, I can only imagine how you are feeling right now. Please share any further details. So sorry.
  11. Re: shots right at Howard. Isn't that what a good goalie does? Positions himself well and stands tall? I know, the shots at his goal weren't all that inventive, but that isn't entirely on the offense is it? I read that as the result of circumstance. Seemed to me that US defense held its own well. England worked very hard the entire second half to get off shots that were less than ideal. Not desparate, but not high percentage either. No? I was on edge for US. Green had a hell of a save (post), but there was a lot of less organized action from England as the clock wound up that resulted in some very confused situations down near Howard. I thought the D looked pretty good. I'm hooked.
  12. Finally got to see some play today. Nothing too impressive yet. Looking forward to catching what I can of the England v US game. Of course, this match is way hyped up on TV here in the states. You'd think this match is the final. Good to see a thread here. I'm not too knowledgeable, so I'll be coming here for insight!

  14. Wow. I'd love to! Who else is in the band?
  15. Allen, that last sentence is fantastic. Feel free to add this quote to your "signature".
  16. Wait. If the 20th Century never happened, then Coltrane was never born in the 80s to play post-Ornette music. This wormhole is more like an ant farm.
  17. This is what I thought might have happened. How's that for ambiguous tense!
  18. I will agree that airing PMs is a very toughcall, but discussing price? I'm not big on the secondary market, but I do buy on occassion. I personally try to do some comparison research, and find discussion on price to be very helpful, whether here or elsewhere. Etiquette, of course, follows its own criteria.
  19. My guess: a lot of folks might have eased up once he died. Suddenly, Polaris disappears and people set up camp, awaiting direction.
  20. I think he would have died in July 1967.
  21. Just listened to Suite for Chocolate yesterday. I recently found out that I know one of his nephews. He is also a jazz musician.
  22. it is ROSWELL RUDD!
  23. up. Where on the www did Brandon Burke go? And JonB?!
  24. I just wonder what it is that THEY are looking at! Maybe they are checking out the Citibank girl?
