Good article. It’s kind of what you assume but now we see the cold facts. The beauty of the CD changer is ease of use but for me only if you have the cartridge version in the trunk (so you can change them over inside the house and not sit there like a doofus waiting for the dash version to change one at a time with all the hassle that involves). My present car accepts just one CD which is basically so it can accept software that way. I use it for music because I find that easiest (but I’d prefer the changer for variety). Playing from the phone I find usually a hassle. It can also play mp3s from a memory stick or CD-R but I can’t be bothered with that. So the changer ruled. I’m glad the car has a better memory of who I know and where I’ve been than I do.

Re. the covers, I’d really like to see the LPs back. I bought a few way back in the mid-80s when Nippon Phonogram reissued them. Can’t remember how I got them. Quite hard/costly to complete the set now though, I should think.

So can you play LPs? Or how do you listen these days?

I really enjoy the feel and approach of the whole set, as well as the standout sides. Though when I was playing Disk 1 I was told that it sounds like “nightmare music” so maybe it’s not for everyone...

I think everybody knows that the only authentic Mosaic is the Berigan. I think people know that. And that’s what I’m listening to.

Had those on vinyl since forever. Never felt too excited about them. “Drone” would be my pick, if I had to have one. That’s been out before on CD (on Song of Singing). OK so I might still be tempted by the CDs but.

I will also be interested to see if the second shots are of the same type as the first, which their rules allow despite zero evidence that it works properly.

I’ll only be impressed if second vaccinations are delivered on time and work properly at the extended interval. NHS staff were given their second at three weeks, which clearly indicates that they don’t fully believe in the 12 week interval.

Lucky you. For whatever reason we are not part of the national system locally. I got called up by phone for my first shot at 24 hours notice. That was none weeks ago - nothing about the second shot. I’ll believe I’m getting it only when it goes into my arm.

No of course you wouldn’t. Even if 12 is too quiet and 14 is too loud. Would you?
