Food poisoning, I heard. -
They already ran the focus groups in June and the conclusion was that John should ditch the originally planned costume in favor of the hat. Thankfully, he listened.

Just had a glass of some Dole fruit combo banana/pineapple juice mixed with selzer water, which was quite refreshing. Now that we've got the fruit Vitamin C thing out of the way, I'm going to pour a Schneider Weisse. -
Geez, I thought that was an outstanding offer......picky, picky, picky Mainers. Okay, final offer -- for your Miles Stockholm set, you get my favorite Voting Rights Counselor shirt plus two excellent beer coasters! Allen, that shirt's a must have. Ya never know when you might need it to slip into a polling place or two (say, West Palm Beach??) to help the kindly old folks with their chads...... well, you know what I'm sayin'! Hee, hee..

OMG!! ..you're being run by advisors!! I heard that one team of pollsters sifted all the data and warned against adding beets!

Best wishes from another member of Club 48. -
Sounds nice. I've always enjoyed 'Plexus' on Hub Cap and didn't realize 'till now that Walton wrote it.

Incredible that 'Teacher' is listed as a bonus cut? I always figured it for the numero uno track on the LP. Here's the original track order on my vinyl (CHR 1043) Side One: 1. With You There To Help Me 2. Nothing To Say 3. Inside 4. Son 5. For Michael Collins, Jeffrey & Me Side Two: 1. To Cry You A Song 2. A Time For Everything? 3. Teacher 4. Play In Time 5. Sossity; You're A Woman

SOLD! Literally! Payment already received! Got it! -
Truth be told, I only had 'em hidden away in there for 6 months or so because this new puppy of ours was having too good of a time chomping away on large plastic Easter eggs..........and before long I started wondering how long it would be before she spied those little 'black eggs' and decide to give one a try?

You and Lon had it right.....I went with the SACD inputs...problem solved. Thanks!! ....and a little Sun afternoon room rearranging for Sundog, who shamed me into letting those little B&Ws breeeeathe a bit! I hope Kevin Bresnahan doesn't drop by to chew me out over the sub-optimal placement of that Hsu Research sub I bought off him.

With about 20% of Netflix titles not being read correctly by the workhorse SONY DVD Unit w/hard drive, we hooked up an older spare SONY DVD player to take care of the overflow. Works fine.......problem is, after stumbling around in the dark and draining 3 or 4 pints of brew, I finally got it rigged up so that each time I go to use the spare (black) SONY, I have to disconnect the red/white rca plugs from tape rec on the integrated amp and then plug them back in when switching over again to the silver SONY. The spare (black) SONY (6th pic down) is running straight into the tv (bottom pic), should it be running through the amp.....or even through the other (silver) SONY? I dunno.....bomething's obviously not right with this ridiculous tangled mess of cables. Anyone care to play the What's wrong with this idiotic looking set-up game? *dang, lot's of dust back there.

A buddy and I took the four kids to watch the DC display and were perfectly situated on an elevated grassy slope on the Virginia side of the Potomac. About 15 minutes prior to the start of The Big One, a whole bunch of fireworks were set off by folks parked about a half-mile in front of us.......between our location and the Pentagon...with DC in the background. All of the smoke from these fireworks formed a sizeable cloud which, given the still air, just sorta hung there and pretty well blocked from view the larger show. At best you might see the outer edge of a massive shell burst......but more often it was simply a brief orange/reddish flash or a red glow behind the cloud and it was like viewing a near total solar eclipse. Interesting to say the least.
