  1. I would have liked to have made a move on this Bill Evans set today....but after consulting the shipping chart, it would have been an act of 'eBay madness' on my part. What? some $70+?
  2. The DVD/movie threads. Not a movie buff and don't follow the media 'buzz'.....but I've picked up some good suggestions in there.
  3. Any of Berigan's car threads!
  4. You probably already know this....but In Rock, 'Machine Head' and a few others were released last week in mini-lp format in Japan. Mid-March for the rest of the catalogue.
  5. Same here. I found the PayPal folks to be quick and efficient in meting out justice.
  6. Hard to decide between Workin' and Steamin'.........but my favorite tune would have to be 'No Line' w/Rollins.
  7. Well you need an additional one....a third line of defense just to make sure you're absolutely safe! Start using Twizzlewhileyouwork as well.
  8. EpiSims (page 2...) at Los Alamos.
  9. <<<<The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, responding to the growing threat of cybercrime to the financial industry, stiffened its guidelines for Internet banking in October, effectively ordering banks to do more than ask for a simple user name and password.>>>> Good.......the standard user name/password combo seems dangerously outdated.
  10. Yuck....looks downright lethal.
  11. Any of these online vinyl shops taking PayPal yet?
  12. Another decent PJ title that comes to mind is Teddy Edwards 'It's About Time'. I rather enjoy that one. Has this thread been forwarded to Mighty Quinn yet?
  13. It's funny.....if you check Weather.Com with any regularity, they'll usually hedge their bets by listing at least a 10-20% chance of precipitation. Even if it looks like a solid 4-day run of sun & mid-80's they'll dutifully list the 10% just to cover the bases and have some wiggle room. Today, they actually went with a 0% for my area....and it's now raining!
  14. A baby's arm was the murder weapon in the CSI/NY last night......wasn't holding an apple though!
  15. Yes, those early Tubes LPs (Tubes, Young & Rich, Remote Control) really are the greatest -- clever, energetic...everything! ...and yes, I've heard the Hagen version ('TV-Glotzer')......have that 4 track 10" record (Columbia) sitting here in the stax actually. The 'African Reggae' tune on that is also pretty good.
  16. What? They didn't add in The Tubes??? Mental toads!!!!
  17. My advice: keep it in your pants and be a good lad.
  18. How about when you raced around the Central Park thoroughfares wildly pointing your lens at every strip of Christo's bright orange tissu coloré to the point of distraction? You never even saw that baby carriage!
  19. I don't own the box.....it would be nice to see them resurface as rvgs.
  20. Does he have any Michelin 235/60 R-16 tires for a Benz? I need two.
  21. Here to Stay has been out in Japan as TOCJ 4135 in 1994. Long time ago ....one of a mere handful of titles (Sonic Boom, Procrastinator, Street Singer, Jubilee Shout, The In Between? ) that appeared as TOCJs but didn't make the JRVG cut.
  22. Shawn, You're probably living in N. Arlington and getting the primo service........they treat us like bad pennies down here in S. Arlington! Jim S, Yes, they've schooled me in that procedure.....but powering off the computer was never part of the equation. Hmmm. On occasion, the unplug modem & then router routine seems to work. The thing is though, the router is a fairly recent addition and I've been logging calls to these folks well in advance of the time frame mentioned in my previous post. I'd just go with the flow for awhile and live with it....then get re-animated all over again when something really really bad happened -- like losing service just as I tried to cast a last minute bid on a Getz Japanese mini-lp last week! probot57!!!! You dodged a bullet on that one!!! You're a lucky man!! See, God hates snipers!
  23. I'd like to see Dexter Gordon's 'Clubhouse.'
