  6. I know that this has been covered before, but it has been awhile and I was curious whether Blue Note under their current grand poobah, Don Was, has any plans to re-issue ANY previously unreleased BN material from 60s or 70s? It has been forever since we have had anything new. I'm sure Cuscuna knows if there is still any material out there in the vaults that would make financial sense to release. Apparently I am mourning the "official" passing of the period where we could anticipate any new releases. Time to seal the casket for good? I'm afraid I know the answer, but was curious if it truly is the end... A definitive answer is appreciated-and then I can possibly consider my collection complete as it ever will be...
  7. I am looking to trade my Mosaic Count Basie Roulette Live 12 LP set. It is in impeccable condition- LPs, box, and booklet. Set #1481 In return I am looking for some of the following-we can discuss proper value in trade: Shorty Rogers Mosaic set- 4 CD only Mosaic Basie STUDIO Roulette - 10 CD- Mosaic Ellington Capitol -5 CD Maynard Ferguson Mosaic 10 CD Ellington Centennial RCA Victor set Send me PM or e-mail to discuss. 13. I have been putting this off for awhile, but with trying to retire in 2013 and being out of work, I think it is time to try to sell some Mosaic sets. I will keep these up for a week and then consider to just keep them for another time where their sale is imperative/ outright necessity. All are in superb condition and some sealed/Brand New. Dizzy Reece Mosaic Select New/Sealed- OOP $75 Complete 1959 Charles Mingus CBS 4 Q-LP $125 Clef/Mercury Oscar Peterson Sealed 7 CDs European Version (Sealed) $125 Complete HRS Sessions 6 CDs (2 are still sealed) $175 BTW- I have a mint 12 LP set of the Count Basie Live Roulette set that I would like to trade for either the Studio Roulette (CD) or the same set in CD (Live). Unsure if any additional cash needed from buyer for the transaction Also I am open to a discussion of the sale of the newer but OOP Lester Young with Count Basie 1930s Mosaic set - Still Sealed- A tough one to decide to sell or keep. The same goes with the 6 LP set of Hall, Johnson, Dickenson, DeParis Mosaic set that is long OOP. Would much prefer a multiple purchase transaction and would give a small discount to same. Shipping at actual cost. Would prefer cash, checks from known members, US Postal money order, as Paypal has too many fees that chip away at $ I will receive. US SALES only. I have been member here for many years and would prefer to sell to our members. Can provide any other info when requested. Just send a PM or post. Thanks for looking. This post will come down next Sunday night. I prefer to avoid E-bay, Amazon if at possible and will likely keep these if no interest. Tough sales to make but at least they will go to folks who will value them... Thanks for reading this. Jeff

  19. A great CD,,, Hope Joe is still in good health...
  20. Went to Ray's today. Not a real big selection and very little used. I have been spoiled by Amoeba, when I get down to the Bay Area.
  21. I have been in London since the 31st of July. Got into 2 track sessions and one indoor track cycling session. Really want to go to tomorrows 5000 meter on last day of Track, but with tickets going for over $1500 USD, it will never happen for me. Walked by Ronnie Scotts club in Soho yesterday. Roy Ayers is there Monday night. Getting the hang of navigating the Tube. If any locals are around and would like to hang, I am here till Tuesday morning. Send me a PM or e-mail. Have not bought one CD yet, but a few days left. I am staying near the Shepherds Bush Tube stop. Would be cool to meet some local Board members.
  22. Pm sent on Basie sets
