  2. I have an extra copy of this CD if anyone would like to make a trade?
  3. A great CD,,, Hope Joe is still in good health...
  4. Went to Ray's today. Not a real big selection and very little used. I have been spoiled by Amoeba, when I get down to the Bay Area.
  5. I have been in London since the 31st of July. Got into 2 track sessions and one indoor track cycling session. Really want to go to tomorrows 5000 meter on last day of Track, but with tickets going for over $1500 USD, it will never happen for me. Walked by Ronnie Scotts club in Soho yesterday. Roy Ayers is there Monday night. Getting the hang of navigating the Tube. If any locals are around and would like to hang, I am here till Tuesday morning. Send me a PM or e-mail. Have not bought one CD yet, but a few days left. I am staying near the Shepherds Bush Tube stop. Would be cool to meet some local Board members.
  6. Pm sent on Basie sets
  7. I am going to London to attend the Olympics as I am a huge Track and Field fan-HOWEVER, I do not have tickets to any events. Everything sold out last October. Plus decent tickets PER DAY are $600-1000! Out of my price range! I may be watching the events from a pub. At least there won't be as many commercials as on US TV. I checked Ronnie Scott's schedule. Only the house band thru Olympics and then Roy Ayers the night before I leave. 50-80 pounds admission. Any other jazz scheduled during the Olympics? Any local Londoners want to meet up? I may have some time on my hands.. I am open to attend some other Olympic sports events if anyone has any leads on some reasonable priced events. I arrive next Tuesday late afternoon and in town till Aug. 14. Will be getting a throw away phone to make calls as my Sprint phone will not work there Someone suggested a place called Tesco where I can get a phone at 30 pounds including some minutes?? True? Would love a PM from locals. I am in Portland thru Sunday. Jeff
  8. Bump! any one out there with a Shorty Rogers Mosaic to trade?
  9. BTW, for those folks interested in these sets, and without a set to trade, I would consider a trade for a 1930s-1940s tube table sized radio-restored- (they had only AM then) especially if it has an Ingraham wood cabinet. Ingraham made cabinets for Emerson and some other brands and put a plate on the radio with their name on it.
  10. I have the Mosaic LP version of the Basie Live Roulette MR 12-135 (12 LPs)-Set #1481- Superb condition Also I have a SEALED/NEW Phil Woods Quartet/Quintet MD5-159 (5 CDs) -Set #1182 (I also have the Horace Parlan MQ 8-197 LP set (NEW) and the 1959 CBS Mingus LP set (MQ 4-193) 4 LPs -if those are needed for a potential trade ) I am looking for the Basie Roulette Studio CD set, and the Shorty Rogers CD set. I would consider the Basie Live Roulette in CD version as part of a bigger trade. Can't think of any other OOP Mosaics I would be interested in. However, the Parlan CD set might be considered-but I would think that the LP set would have more value. Not considering selling any of these yet unless an exceptional offer is made.. Any trade proposals?

  21. Eric: Just sent you a response on the Miles/Coltrane...
  22. Gotta be a few newbies who would like them at a good price... I'm not really an e-bay fan/seller with all its hassles...
  23. Was hoping that some of our group would have an interest in these box sets-especially the metal spine ones. I'll leave this ad up a few more days...
