  1. It was another pitcher, his last name was Benson, his wife wasn't a stripper, but she showed up for a Christmas kids pary wearing something tight and low cut and she was a big mouth, which helped grease hubby's exit from NYC. righto------somehow i associated kazmir with the incident. he may have been traded to florida at about the same time.
  2. wasn't kazmir married to a talkative stripper back in metropolitan days???

  4. would you? do you? http://www.newser.com/story/167940/now-hot-for-men-makeup.html "(NEWSER) – Makeup isn't just for ladies anymore, but that doesn't mean you're about to see Adam Lambert lookalikes at every turn. A new trend in stealth makeup, or ahem, "grooming," has men's cosmetics sales climbing—to the tune of more than $5 billion that American guys dropped last year on skin care and cosmetics, compared to $2.4 billion in 1997."
  5. the accompanist for vocalist lezlie harrison at smalls tonight is veteran pianist greg lewis, who has a b3 quintet specializing in, of all things, monk. is anyone familiar with greg or his recordings? greg is certainly no jimmy, but the genre needs support.
  6. the dolans sold their home owned tv network(STO) to fox sports for $50+ million at years end and sought to avoid taxes on the sale's massive profits. they were just burning off money and, luckily, did so wisely.

  9. when my first dachs, snoopy, had an event(ripped one), it was usually while standing on his hind quarters, soliciting table hand outs while we were dining. he would then look around the room with his "who did that?" quizzical look.
  10. at the time i retired from a factory in ohio in late 1976, for anyone involved in a workplace bodily injury incident, the threshold allowable was .01. testing was automatic for everyone involved. earlier in my employment career, from the1960s, returning to factory work after downing upwards to 4 or 5 quick double shots of bar whiskey was relatively common. i suspect that, rightly or wrongly, allowable thresholds will continue to tighten, workplace and vehicle. we will adjust; we must adjust.

  13. a local beautician-neighbor suffered a similar fate several years ago. his muscle tissue (30%, as i recall) was eaten up, destroyed in just a few days. the condition was arrested, but not reversed. he survived perhaps a dozen years after with a more or less normal life.

  16. they should not be allowed to drive. we have all waited in the checkout line for someone to write out a check, date and all. for them not to have the check pre written, except for the purchase amount, is unfathomable. more efficiient methods of transaction have been readily available for more than 40 years. folks who can't think that far ahead should not be allowed to operate a motor vehicle.

  21. hoping you caught some of his bari numbers. his touch with the bari is so feathery light and quick, his ideas are rapidfire, and his melodic lines are beautiful. you may know that dayna needs a kidney transplant.
