  1. I only got Pike's Peak and found Pike's accompanying "humming" really annoying.
  2. That's a bit steep, isn't it: the Mosaic price is $119 or €97.50 for each set. I guess the much lower shipping cost within Europe makes up for it, though. it ships for free within Germany/Austria/Switzerland. No customs either (money nor hassle), so I guess that makes it an even deal.
  3. amazon.de lists the Jazztet for 123 EUR, scheduled for 21 sept the Farlow is also listed for 123 EUR
  4. still with a lot of moaning I presume?
  5. saw that new version of "Das Boot" on some home theatre set up and woa! LOTs of water everywhere man...! this is one notch more spookier than the presence of Herbert Grönemeyer alone...
  6. more like the euro Dylan singer/writer stuff we had here ages ago. check the french language samples on her site. it may be part of the whole seventies wave we're seeing. It doesn't connect to me besides on the level of it being like that ancient stuff. I grew up with that and I find some fun in that, sometimes. but this, I guess, is for the next generation...
  7. but... she sounds so ... fragile! she can always hide behind her guitar and the string section.
  8. I've seen the stuff advertised as "vegetable-cheese." that made me go all yummy and I declined.

  12. proof that lutefisk makes you go bald with the first bite
  13. I wasn't particularly enamoured by the intestal worms floating in my otherwise delicious sturgeon soup on the banks of the Lena river. That our drunken boat skipper was slurping away at the head of the thing, drivel and fatty stuffs pouring down his chin, didn't help to raise my appetite either. Had some good olde wodka to go with it all and survived. Even the drunken skipper couldn't spoil our fun much more as he had done that already by driving up sandbanks all day like the drunken maniac he was.
  14. how do you spell that? (900Kb wav)
  15. the sprouts are the secret ingredient
  16. "We'll Be Together Again"? That's a different tune. This one's an original by Raney. Did they really list it that way on yours? oops, sorryyyyy!!!
  17. FWIW, my MPS copy has the same tracklisting on label/jacket that Jim describes: A1 Momentum A2 Autumn leaves A3 The best thing for you is me B1 Nobody else but me B2 We'll be together B3 Just friends as well as linernotes by Ira Gitler and a German translation of those. edited for stoopid typ-o
  18. It's a small town in the Tango region on Honshu Island. They bake a mean liver cake there with small crunchy pieces of coarsely grinded coffee beans.
  19. most impressive
  20. I hear the SACD sounds much better
  21. reporting in for duty
  22. album covers by warhol
  23. yeah, them boring cold dudes. shooting arrows sans direction and thinking in too many directions at once to make a neat argument. I think. I'd like a Sagitarius Space Mission, just to find out about all the black matter going wild and the red spot reversing rotation every now and then.
  24. pretty many fegh stuff there I'll admit, it gets better halfway through, then loses momentum again to end in more apocalyptic assurances that we all should listen to the man to save our souls. I could go on, but my writing skills are not so marvellous, understandable, my not being a Gemini...
